My expat frend, who is a foreigner working in Manila is thinking about buying a condo instead of renting but wants to know the legalities of purchasing a condo. I’ve read mixed info online about foreigners owning property. Can he legally buy a condo, and which parts of Manila are best for investment?

Is it still worth buying condo units in Makati or too crowded na?

I’ve been checking out 1BR units around Katipunan and Cubao, and prices seem to vary wildly. Some new developments are asking almost Makati-level rates. Is QC still a good place for investment, or has the boom already peaked?
