Some foreigners lease land in the Philippines and want to know if they can get a bank loan to construct a house on that property.

I’m leasing land in the Philippines for 25 years. Can I get a loan to build a house on it?

Yes, some banks allow this as long as your lease agreement is notarized and valid for the duration of the loan. You can build and own the house, but not the land. This setup is common among foreign retirees and business investors. Always consult your bank first before construction.
